Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms

Hackers claiming to have three terabytes of data from NHS Scotland have posted a “proof pack” of some of the material on the dark web. The NHS confirmed the data to be genuine but said the incident has been contained. Jeff Ace, the chief executive of the affected group, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, said patients whose data was leaked would be contacted.
