Tracking Pixels and Another Big Health Care Breach

Kaiser Permanente has informed the US Department of Health and Human Services of a data breach potentially affecting 13.4 million people. The breach was due to tracking pixels embedded in their website and mobile applications, which may have transferred personal information to third-party vendors Google, Bing, and Twitter. This technology breach is not isolated and highlights ongoing concerns about the use of tracking pixels in frequently breached sectors like health care.
