Billions of Android Devices Open to ‘Dirty Stream’ Attack

Microsoft researchers have found that a common security weakness in many Android apps could make them susceptible to attacks. Apps vulnerable include at least four apps with over 500 million downloads each. Regarding the issue, Google has published new instructions for Android app developers. Microsoft has notified both Google and the vendors of the affected apps on Google’s Play store. It is believed that more apps are at risk but haven’t been detected yet.
