Security Breach Leaves Patient Data Vulnerable

The Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) in Tulsa has discovered a data breach believed to have started on 10th February and affected 611,743 individuals. The breach involved varying amounts of patient data, including for some, social security numbers. EMSA shut down some systems and launched an investigation. The organization is also offering credit monitoring and identity protection to affected individuals.
