Health insurance giant Kaiser will notify millions of a data breach after sharing patients’ data with advertisers

US healthcare conglomerate Kaiser has confirmed it shared patients’ personal data with third-party advertisers such as Google, Microsoft, and X. The breach involved online technologies on its websites and mobile apps. Kaiser has since removed this tracking code and is set to notify the 13.4 million affected parties. Kaiser has reported the breach in line with HIPAA requirements and also to California’s attorney general.
