Dumfries and Galloway Council has issued assurances about its cyber security following a hack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway last month that potentially disrupted services and endangered a “significant quantity” of data. The council’s audit, risk and scrutiny committee is due to review a report on cyber security. The council says it meets UK government standards and that it is implementing measures to boost protection and response.
