US Pledges $10 Million Reward in Hunt for UnitedHealth Hackers

The US government is offering a $10m reward for information about international hacking group ALPHV BlackCat, which infected the computer networks of critical infrastructure globally, including the US healthcare system. The attack, which prompted a federal investigation, crippled services at healthcare providers and pharmacies, including systems owned by UnitedHealth Group’s Change Healthcare. The US Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights is currently investigating the data breach alongside Change Healthcare and UHG.
