Treasury Sanctions China-Linked Hackers for Targeting U.S. Critical Infrastructure

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has sanctioned Wuhan Xiaoruizhi Science and Technology Company (Wuhan XRZ), a front company for China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS), over its involvement in malicious cyber operations. Two Chinese nationals, Zhao Guangzong and Ni Gaobin, linked with Wuhan XRZ were also sanctioned for their involvement in cyberattacks targeting U.S. critical infrastructure. This action, taken in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice and other agencies, aims to protect U.S. security and critical infrastructure.
