Fastly, global edge cloud platform provider, has released its annual global cybersecurity report. This reveals businesses have experienced an average of 46 known cyber attacks throughout the year, with each attack causing a loss of 9% of their revenue. The report also found that businesses will increase their cybersecurity budgets by 76% next year, despite acknowledging that they overinvested in their cybersecurity tools in the past year. Furthermore, a lack of skilled cybersecurity talent was shown to be a significant challenge.
