The Data Analytical Services (DAS) surveillance program, which monitors and analyzes domestic phone records within the US and is run in conjunction with telecom provider AT&T, is being questioned by US Senator Ron Wyden. Wyden has written to the Department of Justice challenging the program’s legality, as it collects the phone records of many people not suspected of criminal activity, including victims.
