Sunflower Medical Group and Community Care Alliance are the latest healthcare organizations to report major data breaches by Russian-speaking cybercriminal gang Rhysida. The hackers allegedly stole and are now selling sensitive patient information such as Social Security numbers, credit card information, and medical records on their dark web leak site. Rhysida, which has been active since 2023, targets sectors that are typically under-resourced in terms of cybersecurity and which hold high-value data.
