Refunds Headed to Users Who Fell for Fake Antivirus, Computer Repair Scams

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will pay $25.5m to more than 700,000 customers scammed by Restoro and Reimage. The companies misled consumers into believing their computers were infected with malware. However, users who fell for the fake antivirus pop-ups and bought repair services will now receive a refund through PayPal.
