Sir Patrick Vallance, the UK’s chief scientist, detailed a struggle within the government over the initiation of the first and second lockdowns. The chief scientist said Chancellor Rishi Sunak was sceptical of the lockdowns due to economic concerns. Vallance further claims that the Treasury didn’t seek scientific advice before launching the “Eat Out to Help Out Scheme”, which increased transmission risk. Sunak will have to answer these allegations when he appears before an inquiry.
Hackers Weaponize Old Avast Driver to Install Windows Malware
An old Avast Anti-Rootkit driver is being used to spread “Kill Floor” malware on Windows PCs, according to cybersecurity company Trellix. The malware disables important
