Naturopathic doctors (NDs) have been helping to administer COVID-19 vaccines at a mass vaccination clinic in Toronto, providing comfort to vaccine-hesitant patients. NDs’ knowledge of nonpharmaceutical interventions and nutrition supplements alongside their unique natural health products training puts them at an advantage in communicating with patients. As an increasingly regulated health profession, NDs could play a significant role in primary care for patients with multiple health concerns, easing the workload on family doctors, subject to further regulatory adaptations.
