Mayo Clinic has posted an 8.2% YoY increase in operating revenue to $4.5 billion in Q3, with operating income of $302 million, as outpatient visits and surgical procedures increased. The performance marks the third quarter Mayo has posted net income following struggles last year, despite enduring a 37% YoY increase in contract labour costs in 2022. Mayo attributed stable salary expenses to planned wage hikes and continuing recruitment, and revealed it had dedicated almost half of $792 million capital expenditure for major project spending.
