Malware operators using common attack methods on Discord

Cyber attackers are exploiting online chat services such as Discord to steal sensitive information, including credit card details. Malware operators are using the platforms’ features to develop hard-to-detect malware. Tactics include using Content Delivery Network to host payloads, Command & Control communication via API, and injecting payloads into the source code to impersonate users. Despite measures to protect users, the expectation is that cyber attacks will expand to other chat services.
