Kaspersky’s projections for 2024’s Advanced Threats Landscape

The Kaspersky Global Research and Analysis Team predicts that Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) actors will increasingly exploit mobile, wearables and smart devices to form botnets, refine supply chain attacks, and utilize AI for spear-phishing in 2024. They expect state-sponsored attacks and hacktivism to rise amidst geopolitical tensions. New developments may include supply chain attacks targeting smaller companies, the rise of hack-for-hire groups, escalating threats to Managed File Transfer systems, and increased Windows kernel attacks.
