Kaspersky’s projections for 2024’s Advanced Threats Landscape

Kaspersky’s GReAT team’s 2024 projections reveal advanced persistent threats are expected to leverage the newest tech developments, including AI, wearables and smart devices, for their exploitations. These advancements will increase politically motivated attacks and cybercrime, lead to sophisticated impersonated spear-phishing attempts, enable new botnets, and refine supply chain attacks. Kaspersky expects a rise in state-sponsored and hacktivist activities, larger-scale supply chain attacks, an increase in hack-for-hire services, and more kernel rootkits and malicious activities targeting Managed File Transfer systems.
