Intermountain Residential, one of the few US centres that offers long-term behavioural treatment for children aged under 10, is downsizing due to staffing shortages and is considering closing its doors permanently. The Montana centre has been treating children for more than 100 years. Its services, including intense behavioural therapy and relationship building over a 18-month period, have proved crucial for children struggling with emotional disorders and other issues. Intermountain Residential serves kids as young as four.
