A report from US firm Rubrik has disclosed that half of the organizations surveyed globally suffered a loss of sensitive data in the past year, with one in six experiencing multiple losses. The situation may worsen as data volumes continue to grow, fuelled by new technologies such as AI and the cloud. For instance, a typical organization’s data has grown by 42% in the last 18 months, and this surge is predicted to increase by almost 100 backend terabytes in the coming year.
