Essex care home where staff ‘didn’t wash their hands’ before giving patients medicine told to improve

An Essex care home run by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has been deemed inadequate in governing standards and medicine handling by the Care Quality Commission. The CQC report highlighted breaches of patient dignity, lack of respect for consent and critical faults with safe administration of medicines. Despite these failings, relatives of residents said they felt that their family members were safe at the Rawreth Court care home.
