Cyber attack anxiety apologies – DNG Online Limited

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has apologised for the anxiety caused by last month’s “persistent” cyber attack, during which a large amount of patient and staff data was accessed, including six individual patient profiles. The health board stressed that no operations or appointments were cancelled and advised the public to remain vigilant for potential data breaches. Although the IT systems are now functioning normally, certain staff access restrictions remain in place while security testing is underway.
