Common medical devices ripe for cyberattack, LTC prone to security breaches –

The healthcare sector is at high risk of cyber crime due to outdated medical devices lacking security features, with half of hospital-used IoT devices showing critical vulnerabilities. Devices including insulin pumps, defibrillators, and pacemakers are particularly at risk, potentially leading to inaccurate readings or drug overdoses. Data theft and privacy breaches in long-term care facilities are also growing concerns due to an increased use of IoT devices.
