Airships in the Middle East have been affected by sophisticated spoofing attacks that are causing navigation systems to fail. OPSGROUP, an international group of pilots and flight technicians, has tracked over 50 incidents in recent weeks and the problem appears to be worsening with no clear understanding of the cause or solution. The attacks are not only affecting GPS but also fallback navigation systems. The group highlights three regions at the centre of the activity: Baghdad, Cairo, and Tel Aviv.
