Carriers must act now to avoid FMCSA portal lockouts

In response to increasing cyberattacks, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has enhanced security measures to its website, requiring multifactor authentication. All FMCSA users will have to update login information via a login.gov account by 1 December, a move designed to boost security and prevent breaches. Motor carriers are also advised to consider additional cyber liability insurance against different types of cyberattacks.
