The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) is developing a potential early detection blood test for pancreatic cancer, one of Australia’s deadliest forms. They have identified 13 proteins that could discern early stages of the most common type of pancreatic cancer, therefore the aim is to build the first diagnostic test to identify those with early pancreatic cancer. The project has received critical funding from PanKind, The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
