Thomas Kennedy McCormick, who confessed to being an administrator of the now-defunct cybercrime forum Darkode, is sentenced to 18 years in prison. He is guilty of distributing malware, hacking websites, and stealing and selling personal data, payment cards, and bank account details. McCormick’s involvement in the operation reportedly led to financial losses of nearly $680,000.
