The Black Basta ransomware gang has pulled in more than $100 million from victims since its inception last year, according to a research post by blockchain analytics firm Elliptic and cyber insurance company Corvus. This includes payments of at least $1 million from 17 victims. The Russian-linked group has attacked at least 329 organizations, making it the fourth-most active strain of ransomware by number of victims for 2022-2023.
