Medical transcription provider Perry Johnson & Associates disclosed a major security breach impacting over 8.95 million individuals, with TechCrunch dubbing it one of the worst medical-data breaches of recent times. It’s the second breach that hit Northwell Health patient data in 2023. The compromised data included personal information and medical records, putting individuals at risk of identity theft. The firm has set up a call center for concerned parties despite claiming there is currently no evidence of misuse for fraudulent purposes.
