Walmart pulls children’s tablet after researcher finds malware exposing kids’ data

A security researcher found dangerous malware on a Dragon Touch tablet for children. The tablet, outdated by five years, has a custom app specifically for kids which records a range of data that is sent to ‘kidoz.net’. It also carries software identified as malware capable of downloading further malicious software. Following the discovery, Walmart withdrew the product for further investigation while Amazon and Google are also examining claims.
