The CDC has alerted the public about a salmonella outbreak linked to cantaloupes, warning that it has already made dozens ill. There have been 43 reported cases across 15 states, 17 of which resulted in hospitalisation. Impacted produce includes cantaloupes sold between October 16 and November 10, including Aldi brand in several states. The CDC recommended discarding of recalled fruits and careful washing of food.
