The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s AURA 2023 report indicates that one in three Australians had at least one antibiotic dispensed during the reporting period. The report also highlighted increasing drug resistance in pathogens such as S. aureus, E. coli, and N. gonorrhoeae.
