Samsung has confirmed a data breach involving the personal contact information of customers who used its UK online store between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020. The compromised details could include customers’ names, phone numbers, and email addresses. However, financial data and passwords were not affected. The breach was reportedly due to an unauthorised individual exploiting a vulnerability in a third-party business application. The number of affected customers has not been disclosed.
