Zscaler research reveals India leads the world in malware attacks

India is the top country for mobile malware attacks, accounting for 28% of all global threats, according to a report by Zscaler. Reporting on threats from mid-2023 to mid-2024, the cybersecurity research firm found a sharp rise in financially-focused mobile attacks, including a 29% increase in banking malware and a 111% boost in spyware. Scammers used techniques such as sending malware-infected wedding card PDFs via WhatsApp.
