Worldwide “multi-malware” campaign targets organizations using backdoor, keylogger, and miner

A report by cybersecurity firm Kaspersky reveals an ongoing “multi-malware” campaign, which has conducted over 10,000 attacks, mainly targeting global organizations. The campaign uses backdoors, keyloggers, and miners to gain system access, steal data, and use victims’ resources for mining, with financial exploitation being the primary aim. The attacks have predominantly targeted organizations in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Brazil, and Romania from May to October. New malicious scripts have also been discovered, which use vulnerabilities to infiltrate systems and disrupt their functionality.
