The HIMSS Healthcare Cybersecurity Forum highlighted increasing cybersecurity threats to healthcare. A Health Sector Cybersecurity Coordination Center warned of a cybercrime group targeting healthcare with advanced ransomware and artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Reports showed that 69% of healthcare systems suffered adverse patient care impacts due to cyberattacks, and 41% of state-level information officers were unsure of their ability to handle threats, particularly AI-enabled ones.
