Despite the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issuing an urgent call for vaccinations against these pathogens, uptake, particularly for flu and RSV, is low. If these diseases converge, they could create a health-care crisis even if each has a so-so season, the CDC’s chief medical officer, Debra Houry, said.
