Why rooting and jailbreaking make you a target

Cybercriminals’ move to a mobile-first attack strategy has resulted in rooted and jailbroken mobile devices facing more mobile malware attacks and system compromises. Tools like Magisk and Checkra1n bypass detection, making rooted devices a high security risk. Zimperium data shows malware attacks are 3.5 times more frequent on rooted devices, system compromises 250 times more frequent, and filesystem compromises increasing by 3,000 times.
