Electronic prescription provider MediSecure has been hit by a data breach compromising health data. The Australian Federal Police reported the incident to Australia’s National Cyber Security Coordinator, but the extent and nature of the data breach is still being determined. MediSecure, which recently secured over 28 million scripts, has labelled the compromise as “isolated,” and is working alongside regulatory bodies to navigate the incident.
