Why Infostealer Malware Is My New Biggest Malware Worry

Infostealing malware, responsible for the leak of 3.9 billion passwords in 2024, has emerged as a major cybersecurity threat. Typically used to silently steal sensitive data, such as personal information, financials, emails, and browser data, this malware accounts for a quarter of all cyber-attacks. It spreads via phishing and is used as a springboard for larger attacks. Despite measures taken, infostealers are expected to grow in scale and sophistication.
