Cases of flu, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are rising in the US in what’s being called a “tripledemic”. Despite new and updated vaccines, uptake has been surprisingly low, contributing to increased hospital admissions for COVID-19. Flu activity is also elevated, while enthusiasm for the newest COVID-19 vaccines is subpar. Meanwhile, measures to control viral spread of COVID-19 appear to have been largely abandoned, and vaccination rates among healthcare workers are a growing concern.
