Two specialist US medical practices are among the latest to fall victim to cybercriminals. Rockford Gastroenterology Associates in Illinois and California’s Pacific Pulmonary Medical Group have become the focus of data breaches. The rise in such attacks, say experts, is due to the high value of medical data and the relatively weak cybersecurity defences in smaller practices.
