A malware called “WhatsApp spy mod”, which targets Telegram users who communicate in Arabic and Azeri, has struck more than 340,000 times in October, cybersecurity firm Kaspersky claims. The malware enters devices through third-party WhatsApp mod applications and can compromise personal data, transfer data every five minutes, record audio and steal data from external storage.
