Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has detected a malware that disguises as a WhatsApp enhancer and steals users’ data. The malware, peddled through Telegram, has been downloaded by 340,000 people and collects data such as contacts, account details, IMEI number, and phone numbers. It primarily targets users in Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Turkey, and Egypt, but is reportedly affecting users worldwide.
