What is multi-factor authentication (MFA), and why is it important?

Larry Kinkaid of BARR Advisory advises consumers to strengthen security by using multi-factor authentication (MFA) where possible, despite the daunting number of varied authentification methods. He recommends starting with password vaults and generating strong, unique passwords across all services, regardless of whether they support MFA.
