The situation is unsustainable, yet hiring alone can’t solve the problem since interest in pharmacy schools has plummeted. One suggested solution is a shift towards AI, allowing automation of routine tasks and freeing up pharmacists’ time for higher-value services. This could decrease burnout, improve patient engagement, and allow pharmacists to take on a larger role in healthcare management.
