Retailer WH Smith has suffered a cyber-attack, with hackers accessing data belonging to current and former UK staff, including names, addresses, National Insurance numbers and dates of birth. The company’s website, customer databases and accounts were not affected, and there has been no impact on trading activities. The Information Commissioner’s Office is investigating the incident.
