The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) has urged the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to balance the onus of cyber incident reporting for healthcare organisations. WEDI also requested the data provided by reporting entities be protected and the reporting requirements be aligned with those of other federal entities such as the Office for Civil Rights in order to decrease administrative burden. In addition, flexibility around timings and an understanding of ransomware attacks was also spotlighted in the comments.
