WebMD Health has acquired the assets of Idaho-based non-profit Healthwise, known for its patient engagement technology. The undisclosed terms include Healthwise’s products, content, technology, client relationships, and some trademarks. WebMD will incorporate these into its Ignite platform, aiming to extend patient engagement and education. This acquisition places top content at the point of care for over half of US hospital patients and most major payor organizations.
