Warning issued over ‘fast flux’ techniques used to obscure malicious signals on compromised networks

Law enforcement agencies have warned that organizations face a common network vulnerability that allows hackers to dodge detection and distribute malicious software indiscriminately. Referred to as “fast flux,” the approach involves frequently changing domain name system (DNS) records to conceal communications between malware and servers. Cybersecurity personnel are advised to use protective domain name system (PDNS) services to block harmful DNS requests and monitor potential threats.
